Urban Design Elective, RMIT 2015

The planned urban growth of Melbourne seeks to create increasingly ‘liveable’ suburbs and a ’20 minute city’. Students were asked to examine specific areas of the outer-urban landscape and develop interventions and strategies that could guide the consolidation and enhancement of existing urban areas, accommodating increasing populations, as well as shape alternative ways of imagining new greenfield suburban areas.
